TheFactory DefSec Accelerator is a specialized 12-week accelerator program for early-stage startups developing defence, security, and dual-use technologies. The program is designed to help companies become investment- and market-ready, with a strong focus on real-world defence and security needs.
From startup to deployment
TheFactory has long experience building accelerator programs and early-stage ecosystems. Through the DefSec program, we connect startups directly with defence stakeholders, industry partners, investors, and public actors. Our goal is to shorten the path from innovation to operational impact by combining capital, expertise, pilot opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

Expert guidance
As part of the DefSec Accelerator, founders take part in targeted workshops focused on product development, validation, and market adaptation. The program introduces proven methodologies and best practices tailored to defence, security, and dual-use markets.
Network access
The DefSec Accelerator gives founders access to a dedicated ecosystem of entrepreneurs, experts, industry partners, and investors within defence, security, and dual-use technology. Through ongoing interactions, curated meetings, and targeted sessions with domain experts and mentors, startups receive continuous feedback and insight.
Business strategy
The program supports founders in developing a clear business strategy and understanding their target customers and users within defence, security, and dual-use markets. Founders receive hands-on guidance in building business plans, financial models, cap tables, and investor-ready pitch decks, as well as learning how to effectively present their company to customers, partners, and investors.
Investments & post-program
The program concludes with a Demo Day where startups present their companies to a curated group of investors with relevant defence and security expertise. Beyond the program, we continue to support founders through ongoing follow-up, access to our networks, and introductions to investors and partners — helping companies scale beyond the accelerator.
