TheFactory DefSec Accelerator is a specialized 12-week accelerator program for early-stage startups developing defence, security, and dual-use technologies. The program is designed to help companies become investment- and market-ready, with a strong focus on real-world defence and security needs.
The program targets Nordic startups operating within defence tech, security tech, dual-use solutions, cyber security, autonomous systems, sensors, and other mission-critical technologies relevant to modern defence and security ecosystems.
TheFactory has long experience building accelerator programs and early-stage ecosystems. Through the DefSec program, we connect startups directly with defence stakeholders, industry partners, investors, and public actors. Our goal is to shorten the path from innovation to operational impact by combining capital, expertise, pilot opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

As part of the DefSec Accelerator, founders take part in targeted workshops focused on product development, validation, and market adaptation. The program introduces proven methodologies and best practices tailored to defence, security, and dual-use markets.

4. Investments & post program
The program concludes with a Demo Day where startups present their companies to a curated group of investors with relevant defence and security expertise. Beyond the program, we continue to support founders through ongoing follow-up, access to our networks, and introductions to investors and partners — helping companies scale beyond the accelerator.
