Welcome to Open Banking seminar with Nordea and TheFactory

We are in the beginning of a rapid transformation of the financial landscape. The PSD2 legislation coming into effect next year will allow 3rd party providers to access bank accounts on behalf of their clients. The ambition is to increase competition between different players in the financial market, which in the end will lead to improved servicing of the end customers.

This can of course play out in many different ways depending on how the involved parties chose to act. Some banks will resist the change and do what they can to make it difficult for the 3rd parties to take the customer facing position. But there will also be banks that take a more collaborative approach and choose to go beyond PSD2 to focus more on the opportunities presented by the whole concept of open banking. These banks will use the open API technology as a mean to create more comprehensive services together with the most innovative players in the fintech community.

Nordea's Head of Open Banking, Gunnar Berger, will visit TheFactory to give a update and answer questions on their Open Banking API initiative.
